Dominik Tarczynski, Polish Member of the European Parliament (MEP) presents a vision of Europe confronted by external and internal threats. Illegal migration, in his view, stands at the center of these challenges, not only as a humanitarian issue but as a strategic weapon deployed by adversarial states. Tarczynski points to incidents such as a Polish soldier murdered at the border, citing it as evidence that Europe can no longer afford ambiguity on the matter.
He argues that the solution lies in a policy of zero illegal migration. According to Tarczynski, doing otherwise risks enabling terrorist infiltration and undermining cultural cohesion. “There is no reason to hesitate,” he says. “If illegal migrants kill Polish people, they will be killed if they come close to Polish land.”
In Tarczynski’s assessment, foreign regimes engage in hybrid warfare through mass migration, flooding borders with individuals who lack proper documentation and sometimes destroy their passports to evade identification. He contends that such tactics threaten the very fabric of European civilization, citing what he describes as “Hijra,” a demographic war without direct armed conflict.
Example? Starting in 2021, the Belarusian regime began flying in thousands of migrants from across the world and then ordered the country's security services to aid the migrants in their attempts to cross into the EU via Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. Belarusian dictator Aleksandr Lukashenko had decided to use methods of hybrid warfare and weaponization of migration to create a new migration route into the EU, to politically destabilize both his neighboring Western states and the EU as a whole.
The MEP criticizes left-wing groups and international bodies that, in his opinion, fail to acknowledge the long-term consequences. He points to demonstrations supporting Palestine as symptomatic of a deeper cultural infiltration, claiming that leftist organizations become tools to further ideologies incompatible with European values. “If they went to Hamas-controlled territory, they would be thrown from the rooftops,” Tarczynski emphasizes, highlighting the perceived hypocrisy of Western solidarity with extremist elements.
While Tarczynski acknowledges that Poland’s economic success has attracted foreign workers, he distinguishes between legal labor migration and unauthorized entry. He notes that Poland has admitted large numbers of Ukrainians, Belarusians, and even individuals from Central Asia and Africa through legal channels. This approach, he argues, shows Poland’s willingness to accommodate foreigners who respect the country’s laws, culture, and faith.
Tarczynski dismisses accusations of racism or nationalism, stating that the matter is one of security and sovereignty. “Call us whatever you want,” he says. “Fascists, nationalists, racists - it doesn’t matter. Protecting our family, our country, and our culture is what truly counts.”
The MEP provides firsthand observations from Lampedusa, an Italian island overwhelmed by thousands of arrivals in a single night. He describes encountering groups of young men openly mocking the European system and displaying no fear of consequences. This scenario, in his view, proves that without strict enforcement, Europe essentially offers a free pass to anyone - including potential extremists.
The comparison between crossing an EU land border illegally and attempting the same at an airport illustrates Tarczynski’s stance. He believes that just as no one would tolerate forced entry at an airport, land borders deserve the same rigorous defense. “Legally, morally, we have the right to protect ourselves,” he insists.
Tarczynski frames the fight against illegal migration as part of a broader defense of Western civilization. He regards Poland as Europe’s “last stronghold of Christianity and normality,” highlighting historical figures and national heroes who fought for freedom. This tradition, he believes, obligates current generations to resist ideologies and movements that erode cultural integrity.
He rejects the notion that diversity automatically equates to strength. Instead, he argues, Western societies must scrutinize who enters their countries, especially when extremist ideologies and cultural incompatibilities threaten stability. For Tarczynski, Europe’s heritage and moral foundation demand decisive action.
The MEP’s criticism extends to the European Parliament itself, where debates over trivial matters—such as classifying bananas—collide with corruption scandals like “Qatargate.” In Tarczynski’s view, hostile foreign actors, including Russia and Qatar, find it all too easy to buy influence and shape EU policy. Without stringent regulations and a readiness to expose wrongdoing, he warns, European institutions risk becoming tools for external interests.
These vulnerabilities, combined with the rise of Islamist candidates in the UK and potential infiltration into EU institutions, reinforce his stance that Europe must regain control over its borders and institutions. As he puts it, “If people are trying to break the law on our land, they should be shot and killed,” underscoring his belief that extreme measures are justified to ensure national security.
Tarczynski views the growing conservative and nationalist movements across Europe as a sign of rising public dissatisfaction with the status quo. Though not yet able to shift the balance of power in the European Parliament, such forces could, in his estimation, restore order and dignity. He urges citizens who share these concerns to overcome their fears and openly support rigorous border policies.
As he states, “Many are afraid to say what they think out loud, but without bravery, there is no hope for Europe.” From his perspective, rejecting mass illegal migration and defending centuries-old traditions are essential steps to protecting the continent’s future.
