Alan Miller
Co-founder and Chair | The Together Association
Alan is co-founder and chair of The Together Association. Together is committed to ensuring the public is at the heart of politics. Over the past three years, it has had impact in UK policy and public debate, gathering hundreds of thousands of signatories across its campaigns.
The organisation is rooted in the principles of free speech, the right to protest, democratic accountability, and civil liberties. Through broad public engagement across Britain, Together has demonstrated that organised civic action can drive change.
Alan has spent his life launching projects that many said were not possible — from acid-house parties to co-creating London’s cultural and business hub, The Old Truman Brewery, to launching the Night-Time Industries Association and campaigning for #OpenForAll.
For over a decade, he ran the New York Salon and worked in TV and film production in New York City. He has served on the London Arts Council and the Mayor of London’s Nightlife Task Force, and has built a career spanning creative collaboration, entrepreneurial ventures, and lobbying at local, national and international levels.
