Erik Schrama is a writer, translator, and political activist. He is the author of Olympus, a novel exploring the future of Europe, and the founder of European Action, a citizens’ initiative and pressure group advocating for the democratization of the European Union. Schrama has served as a recognized shadow rapporteur on GMOs for the European Parliament.
With longstanding ties to South Africa, he now resides in the country's so-called poorest province, the Eastern Cape, where he is working to establish a self-sufficient, off-grid farmstead.
