Born in Salisbury, Rhodesia, in 1966, Rory Graeme Duncan is an entrepreneur based in South Africa's Klein Karoo. He leads HP Biotech Group, which produces plant extracts for global Nootropics, Nutraceutical, and Food industries.
Previously, Rory was a commercial farmer in Zimbabwe, an anti-poaching operative, and a special forces member in Mozambique during the Civil War. He also spent over a decade guiding expeditions across Africa and worked with Mozambique's Frelimo party during its transition to democracy, as well as for Zambia’s President’s Office.
Between 2008 and 2011, Rory returned to Zimbabwe to farm under challenging conditions, despite facing widespread theft and intense political persecution. In the early 2000s, he was abducted by state security agents, tortured, and imprisoned for two months under dire conditions before being cleared of wrongdoing.
Now happily settled in South Africa, Rory shares his life with his son and his life partner, Pamela.
